RezHypnotist, Comedy Stage Hypnosis
Family-friendly, high-energy comedy hypnosis where your guests become the stars of the show. Fun, surprises, and laughter, the best medicine, and your people will be talking about your event for weeks.
Your crowd, on stage
Volunteers from your audience win the lottery, become celebrities, and put on x-ray glasses, all through the power of suggestion. I open with magic, then the hypnosis takes over. For an hour your guests forget their problems and tap into their own personal power. Everyone walks off empowered, and the room never stops laughing.
Safe for work and for family events. I bring my own Bose sound system, wireless mic, and DJ setup. You bring the room.
Booked for: corporate parties, First Nations community events, graduations, festivals, conferences and AGMs, fundraisers, casinos, theatres.
On the mic: Johnny Ketlo, the Rez Hypnotist. Indigenous comedy stage hypnotist, Dakelh Frog Clan, from Nadleh Whut'en, BC. I serve communities across the province and help you pull off an event people remember.

Questions people ask
Is hypnosis safe?
Yes. It's a normal, natural state: deep relaxation with a clear, focused mind. You drift into it daydreaming or losing a word on the tip of your tongue. On stage it feels like hours of good sleep.
Can anyone be hypnotized?
Anyone who can focus and is willing. Nobody can be hypnotized against their will, and nobody can be made to do anything against their ethics, on stage or off.
What do you need from the venue?
A stage or stage area, as big as possible, away from bars, kitchen doors, and washrooms. Sixteen to twenty sturdy armless chairs for volunteers. A comfortable room temperature. I bring the sound.
How long is the show?
Sized to your event. Tell me the crowd, the room, and the night.
Make your next event unforgettable
Magical, memorable laughter and a room full of people who became the show. Tell me the date and the crowd.
Hypnotherapy
The fastest tool I know for changing what runs underneath: sleep, stress, anxiety, confidence, focus, old patterns. Sessions in person or online, starting with a free consultation.
A complement to medical care, never a replacement. I'll tell you straight if it isn't a fit.
"From corrosive cynic to true believer in ten sessions."
John Gallagher, Entertainment Illustrator
"My mental and physical health has improved tenfold. I enjoy life. I look forward to it."
Kevin, CPA
A letter most hypnotherapists never get

In 2014 a psychiatrist with Vancouver Coastal Health's Adult Community Mental Health and Addictions team wrote to me about a patient in his care. She had been "objectively noted to be calmer and more organized since commencing hypnotherapy," and he recommended the sessions continue as part of her holistic care. Her name is blacked out. The letterhead and the signature are real.
"My mother has been in and out of the psych ward for 30 years. She didn't trust anyone, especially her doctors. The first session, I took her out of the psych ward to Johnny's, curled up, shaking, unable to speak coherently. Over seven sessions she overcame childhood fears and became trusting enough to take her medications. My relationship with my mum has improved drastically."
